Basics of a Computer:-
A computer consist of everel parts working together. Some of this parts
are essential for the working of the computer other make working on a computer
more pleasant and efficient.
The basic computer of
a computer are:-
i.
Monitor,
ii.
Keyboard,
iii.
Mouse,
iv.
System unit
The optional components are:-
printer, scanner, CD/DVD Drive, pen drive etc.
Note:- the parts like monitor, keyboard, printer, mouse etc.
are connected to the system unit are called peri pherals.

Working of a Computer:-
The computer follows the basic
principal of the (I-P-C) Input –process – output cycle. Input refers to the data or to the instructions which were given
to the computer.
Output refers to the results given by the computer, process,
refers to the works done by the computer to obtain the output. The flowing
examples would help in understanding the I—O cycle. Consider a very simple real
life example inrieints making coffee. The in gerent coffee power, water, sugar
and milk are the inputs the process is billing and the out put is coffee.

The computer also follows the same
I-P-O cycle.

I-P-O cycle.
For example
suppose you want the computer to do simple calculation like multiplaying 5 and
6. You maust provide the input that is the data and the instruction. Here 5 and
6 are the data multiplication is the instruction, then the computer process the
data. Using yhe instruction given to it and arrives at the result. In this
case, the result of 5*6 is 30. Means 30 is the output.
The device use to give inputis
called the input device. The device used to do the processing is called the pro
using devise the and the devise used to give the output is called the output.
Device . data and instructions can be given to a computer with the help of a
key board and mouse are input devise. The system unit is used for processing
the input. Any pro cused data gets displayed on the monitor and this
information can also be printed on a paper usinf the printer, hence, monitor
and printer are output devise.
